The LIBERAL MAVERICK

LIBERAL PANDERING UPDATE:
"In a break with his party and President Bush, Senator McCain is throwing his support behind a federal law that aims to protect a journalist’s right to conceal confidential sources from the courts. The presumptive Republican nominee announced his position on the Free Flow of Information Act, or federal shield law, yesterday at the annual meeting of the Associated Press."

John McCain wants to give REPORTERS special rights!

As if one cue, after posting this BAD DREAM image of Hillary Rodham and her respecting admirer Senator McCain, the mighty Drudge has displayed the very same image on his ALL POWERFUL website.

It seems John McCain might still be pulling for Hillary...
Republican presidential hopeful John 'McCain has confided to his inner circle that Hillary Clinton may yet be the Democratic nominee, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, a development the senator from Arizona would personally welcome!

"Look, I know something about long odds, they had me written off last summer," McCain explained over the weekend, according to a top source.

McCain would prefer to go up against Clinton in the general election, insiders reveal.

He has instructed his campaign staff to "chill out" on countering Hillary Clinton's torrent of claims and promises as primary voting comes to an end over the next 6 weeks.

McCain made the tactical decision to downplay Clinton's tale of Bosnia sniper fire, leaving some McCain staffers frustrated and perplexed.'

Does Senator McCain desire Hillary because of personal affinity, or is facing the Clinton Malfeasance the only way McCain can win the Presidency?

We have recently encountered many Big-Named Pundits losing their credibility as they carry the water for the Liberal Maverick, who repeatedly undermined Conservative Interests and his own Republican Party.

A fine Associate of this humble poster, has even timed the Fair & Balanced - Fox News Network, providing 3 to one 'face time' for the Beltway Celebrity named McCain.

The Weekly Standard might wish to rethink their name...

It is amazing to realize, so many turned a blind eye to the incredibly weak offering of the aged Keating 5 Member, because of the FEAR for the opposition and personal greed.

Sure, some vapid GOP Voters simply schemed that McCain could defeat HRC, and others possessed a truly disgusting anti-MORMON bigotry.

But the reality is, John McCain is just as ugly as any Senator in this RACE.

John McCain is a bitter, dishonest, egotistical, unethical Beltway Insider, who once called Rush Limbaugh a "circus clown".

Senator McCain repeatedly demeaned Sec. Rumsfeld, peddled Global Warming populism, and even stated his deep 'respect' for Hillary Rodham, to obtain the Liberal Votes to save himself in the GOP Primary.

John McCain will say and do anything, to help himself...

It is no wonder why McCain relates to the pathetic Hillary Rodham Clinton so easily, and has the strident support of Senator Lindsey Graham.

Recently, John McCain provided the LEFT with visions of Global Tests.

It is ironic, as John McCain actually stated, "The time for pandering and false promises is over..."

Isn't that amusing?

OVER?

Meanwhile, the tiresome Keating 5 Member is NOW foolishly pandering to the very concerning Liberal Partisans on a daily basis:
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Monday that he believes the country is in a recession, adding that “these are very, very tough times in America."

Does John McCain even know what a real RECESSION is?

Will Airbus be feeling the pinch Senator?

Quite surprising, as Senator McCain normally answers economic questions with vague mentions of his past Heroics as a POW, or references to his elite Senate Associates.

The painful problem remains, John McCain often sounds like a very misguided Liberal Democrat, because he really is a Liberal Populist.

“I just thought it was too tilted to the wealthy, and I still do…” - John McCain, Nov. 26, 2005

He basically demeaned everyone who works in the USA's Free Market, at an embarrassing debate at the Reagan Library.

McCain even seemed to vilify those who work for profit, while he was busy exploiting patriotism.

And it is going to get worse...
'Sen. John McCain this morning said "greedy" Wall Street investors are partly to blame for what he said is probably an economic recession the nation is now suffering.'

Did John Edwards give him a few lessons on class warfare, populist hyperbole, and MSM placation?

Nope.

Senator McCain has been pushing this act for years...

Hillary Lies Again

"How Many Angels Dance On The Head Of A Pin?"

How many lies can Hillary Clinton tell in a day?

From the mighty Sweetness & Light:
“To be frank, Hillary Clinton’s stories about her adventures with guns don’t exactly pass the smell test,” Cheney told Tim Russert on ABC’s ‘Meet the Press’ yesterday.

“If she really wants to show that she knows how to handle a rifle, there’s an easy way to do that: meet me in the woods.”

Can Hillary Clinton be honest about anything?

Cackle Cackle:
"She is running around talking about how this is an insult to sportsmen, how she values the Second Amendment. She's talking like she's Annie Oakley," Obama said.
*
"This is the same person who spent a decade with her husband campaigning for NAFTA, and now goes around saying she's opposed to NAFTA," Obama said.

All 3 Senators running for the Presidency are a sincere embarrassment.

Mr. Obama's remains vapid with comments about BITTER Americans.

Seems inserting one's FOOT INTO MOUTH is a Senatorial disease.

Hillary Clinton calling anyone an 'OUT OF TOUCH ELITEST' is priceless.

Few have been as "patronizing and elitist" as Hillary Rodham.

Remember this?
"I've Always Been a Yankees Fan..."

Is Ms. Rodham so OUT OF TOUCH, she does not realize, her vivid, massive, extraordinary LIES, insult the intelligence of all Americans?

Still wanting to take things away from Americans?

After seeing Hillary's sophomoric mismanagement of this Presidential Campaign, the Clinton malfeasance throughout the 1990's, the horrid personal disasters of Rodham - Clinton, it is entertaining to consider this LIAR still has some delusional conception, she knows what is best for others in the mighty USA.

(* Of course, Hillary only cares about what is best for Hillary).

Besides, there are only a few who are more 'bitter' than Ms. Rodham or Mr. McCain in the USA these days.

Speaking of THE REGRETFUL NOMINEE...

John McCain says, "The time for pandering and false promises is over...", while he panders to everyone with false promises.

"It is time for change, but the right kind of change; change that trusts in the strength of free people and free markets; change that doesn't return to policies that empower government to make our choices for us, but that works to ensure that we have choices to make for ourselves." - John McCain

MORE CACKLES !

How does the Celebrity Symbol of his self described "failure" in Washington, a Senator of 24 years, a deceitful Politician who lies about his reasons for voting against tax cuts, has absolutely no serious CEO experience, now promoting Global Tests, (the author of the dreadful McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Lieberman), whose campaign is run by LOBBYISTS, going to bring POSITIVE change?

Does this Beltway Insider of 3 Decades, an advocate of Global Warming Gas Taxation, who holds such 'RESPECT' for Hillary Clinton, even know what the FREE MARKET is?

Someone who vilifies those who work for profit, while exploiting patriotism?

It is simply a comedy of errors.

And this Joke is on the American Public.

THE LAUGHABLE NOMINEE

'McCain Seeks Distance From Bush'

What a surprise.

Now there's true GUTS on display...

A real Backbone for Our Nation.

AIRBUS's favorite Senator reminds the World, John McCain will run to be accepted, blow with the populist winds, seek the fashionable nod of anything, for anything, to further himself.

No wonder why the NY TIMES endorsed the MAVRICK!

This is the same Beltway Celebrity who is now pushing similar rhetoric to John Kerry's vapid Global Test.

The same bitter Keating 5 Member, who declared his 'respect' for Hillary Clinton, after Ms. Rodham had impugned the integrity of General Petraeus in the US Senate.

Perhaps, it was simply calculated manipulation to obtain the Liberal Vote in NH, along with the peddling of Global Warming, Gasoline Taxation, and the constant demeaning of Sec. Rumsfeld.

Temper Temper...
In all candor, as an adult I've been known to forget occasionally the discretion expected of a person of my years and station, when I believe I've been accorded a lack of respect I did not deserve," McCain said.

"But I believe if my detractors had known me at Episcopal they might marvel at the self-restraint and mellowness I developed as an adult," he joked.

CANDOR?

The joke is on us...

Like Mother Like Daughter?

"You know, we have soldiers overseas now who are getting shot at by real bullets from real enemies who really want to kill them. Getting shot at by snipers is not something you forget - or make light of."

It is really sad to see this young Woman, forced to peddle the lies, corruption, negligence of her Parents for more narcissistic greed.

But what can one expect...

This is the creepy world of CLINTONIA.

"It bothers me any time anyone running for the highest office in the land fabricates a story. That should bother any American, whether you're military or nonmilitary." - Air Force Lt. Gen. Buster Glosson

Will it ever end?

Is it possible, to experience a future in the mighty USA, without having the Clinton Family's embarrassing deceit forced upon for the American Public?

A time when those in the United States, will not be confronting one Clinton Whopper after another, after another, followed by weak denials, pretend excuses, and pathetic enabling?

The fascinating Ms. Malkin (* with photoshop fun of HRC):
When Sinbad, the Washington Post, and every fact-checker on the Internet and under the sun debunked her tall tale, Sen. Clinton doubled down. She dissed Sinbad as a mere “comedian.” (He just tells jokes. She is a joke.) She asserted that she and her compatriots ran for safety with “our heads down.” She clung to her story that she “had to be moved inside because of sniper fire.” And she embellished further: “There was no greeting ceremony, and we were basically told to run to our cars. Now, that is what happened.”

OUCH:
Say what? As Sinbad put it: "What kind of president would say, 'Hey, man, I can't go 'cause I might get shot so I'm going to send my wife...oh, and take a guitar player and a comedian with you.'"

UPDATE: Insight from the amusing Ms. Dowd the Democrat...
"Even some Clinton loyalists are wondering aloud if the win-at-all-costs strategy of Hillary and Bill — which continued Tuesday when Hillary tried to drag Rev. Wright back into the spotlight — is designed to rough up Obama so badly and leave the party so riven that Obama will lose in November to John McCain.

If McCain only served one term, Hillary would have one last shot. On Election Day in 2012, she’d be 65.

Why else would Hillary suggest that McCain would be a better commander in chief than Obama, and why else would Bill imply that Obama was less patriotic — and attended by more static — than McCain?

***
Some top Democrats are increasingly worried that the Clintons’ divide-and-conquer strategy is nihilistic: Hillary or no democrat.

(Or, as one Democrat described it to ABC’s Jake Tapper: Hillary is going for “the Tonya Harding option” — if she can’t get the gold, kneecap her rival.)

After all, the Clintons think of themselves as The Democratic Party..."

The Global Test Returns

The problem remains, the misguided Mavrick:
MCCAIN: Our great power does not mean we can do whatever we want, whenever we want, nor should we assume we have all the wisdom and knowledge necessary to succeed. We need to listen, we need to listen to the views and respect the collective will of our Democratic allies. When we believe international action is necessary, whether military, economic, or diplomatic, we will try to persuade our friends that we are right. But we in return must be willing to be persuaded by them.

RUSH: You gotta keep in mind the context of the speech. This is a foreign policy speech. This sounds like the global test, this sounds like the haughty -- by the way, let me clarify something. People think I'm calling Kerry, a hotty, h-o-t-t-y, it's haughty, h-a-u-g-h-t-y, the haughty John Kerry. This sounds like the global test. We need to listen to the views and respect the collective will of our Democrat allies. If they think we're wrong, we've gotta be open to being persuaded that we're wrong. (interruption) That's exactly right, Mr. Snerdley. If they think we're wrong, we have to own up to being wrong, the possibility of being wrong. Let me tell you something. Liberals are going to love this speech. This is the problem. This is their stated approach. This is no different than what John Kerry was talking about doing...

The endorsed Candidate of the NY Times.

Lindsey Graham must be thrilled.

EVEN MORE FROM THE MIGHTY EIB:
"John McCain's team that is taking over the Republican Party has decided on Bobbie Greene..."

...What else are conservatives supposed to think? This is McCain saying, "Screw you guys! I know who my base is. I know where I want my support to come from, and I'm going to go out there and I'm going to get it and I'm going to let this babe run my convention."

The Luck Of The 'O'

The impressive Mr. Hurt...
"Call him Barack O'Bama - for he's got the luck of the Irish.

The very week he faces his toughest obstacle ever - one that may still derail his candidacy - Obama gets a near-game-ending pot of gold.

It now appears certain that Hillary Rodham Clinton's efforts to rewrite party rules in a desperate search for a lifeline have failed.

Her absurd proposal of counting her "wins" in Michigan and Florida - long after everyone agreed they wouldn't count - has been laughed off the table.

And now, it appears, there won't even be any revotes.

While revotes are the only way to resolve the matter justly, they would have been problematic for Obama ever since his insane preacher - who makes the Black Panthers seem docile - became a household name...
*
But luck is never just luck, and Obama works very hard.

The Wright scandal has been Obama's Gennifer Flowers moment.

And just as Bill Clinton handled that first great bimbo eruption, Obama handled this quite deftly.

In his Philadelphia speech on race this week, Obama laid bare his soul.

By blaming both whites and blacks for racial tensions, he triangulated the problem.

And, of course, he changed the subject from his Pastor Eruption.

He out-Clintoned even the Clintons and somewhere, Bill Clinton is marveling over how he backed the wrong horse in this race."

Well stated.

But, the incredibly lackluster offering of the other misguided Celebrity Symbols from the Beltway, Senators McCain and Clinton, are a massive pot of gold for the young Mr. Obama as well.

The Regretful Nominee

This Poster has tried, on behalf of a number of fine Associates, to give Senator John McCain another chance.

But, the old Keating 5 Member remains deeply embarrassing...
McCain finance chairman Thomas G. Loeffler and Susan E. Nelson, who left Loeffler's lobbying firm to be McCain's finance director, both began lobbying for Airbus's parent company in 2007, Senate records show. William L. Ball III, a former secretary of the Navy and frequent McCain surrogate on the trail, also lobbied for Airbus, as did John Green, who recently took a leave from Ogilvy Public Relations to serve as McCain's legislative liaison.

"Airbus, I have to give them credit," said R. Thomas Buffenbarger, the president of the International Association of Machinists, which represents Boeing employees. "They know they need that kind of lobbying help. And they went after people who could deliver."

Recently asked about the Beltway Insider's overt connections to Lobbyists, and the effects of this influence on the latest a $35 billion contract awarded to Europe's Airbus Consortium, John McCain provided one of the most ugly GRINS imaginable.

It was similar to the childish grin John McCain had on his face, when he slandered his opponent at the Reagan Library.

It was NOT an appealing sight...

The old Campaign Finance Reformer looked as if he was going to cackle, while maintaining that Lobbyists are simply part of the process, of his self described "failure" in Washington.

Seems the Senator of 24 Years should be trying harder, to rebuild the American Confidence in Government, (one of his many promises).

In the video above, the Washington Elite of 3 Decades is visibly frustrated with a NY Times Reporter, who is from the same Liberal Partisan Establishment which endorsed the Senator.

There are many Conservatives who now dismiss the basis of the issue represented here, simply because of the weak NY Times involvement.

Just as many dismissed another sign John McCain's poor judgment, flying around with a concerning Female Lobbyist: "First, the Times muddied, with unsubstantiated sexual innuendo about a female lobbyist, a story about McCain's flights on jets owned by corporations with business before the Senate Commerce Committee, and his meeting with a broadcaster (McCain at first denied it happened; the broadcaster insists it did, and McCain now agrees) who sought and received McCain's help in pressuring the Federal Communications Commission..."

This is the type of dismissive nature often practiced by Liberal Democrats, who deny the ugly reality of the Clinton Malfeasance, because of the Political Identity of the critical source.

However, the Grey Lady's Reporter in the video, was merely asking questions about John McCain's denials regarding his contemplation to become the Democrat's Vice Presidential Candidate in 2004.

McCain did indeed entertain the idea, (perhaps still being rather bitter about losing in 2000, as well as being quite Liberal himself), but nixed the opportunity knowing it would ruin his burning ambition for the Presidency, thus the Senator decided to wait until 2008.

Now, the aged Keating 5 Member knows the Democrat VP contemplation, hurts him with Conservatives (those he has undermined for years - but now desperately needs for personal gain).

But John McCain only makes the matters far worse, by being dishonest and bitter about this prior courting of his close Friend, John 'Swift' Kerry.

The entire episode reminds all, this Senator of 24 Years can only handle sincere confrontation with an unsightly hostile temperament.

"You're a bully and a coward. You have no regard for the Constitution. I'll be civil to you but I won't shake your hand." - Senator McCain

Just like his 'f-n-demeanor' with other GOP Senators, when McCain wanted that mindless Amnesty being provided with Immigration Reform.

Were Lobbyists driving the Senator to embrace the Z-Visa as well?

All those years growing the Ego in the Beltway, coupled with a vivid lack of accomplishment, a lackluster ability, and even a less than impressive intelligence, has left John McCain with a hot button.

He should be grinning ear to ear, thanking this NY Times Reporter, not only for her Paper’s Endorsement, but also for the Liberal Votes in the GOP Primary which were encouraged by the powerful MSM.

Instead, John McCain's deceit may haunt him…

Recently, this Poster watched Senator McCain appear with the current President, and was sincerely disappointed once again.

John McCain looked like President GW Bush's angry GrandFather.

His unheathly appearance, vivid age, sour temperament, and pour articulation, were dreadful in comparison to the current CIC.

Strangely, Senator McCain arrived late to this important endorsement, leaving the President standing alone to entertain the Media.

When asked if McCain would have the President campaign on his behalf, in reference to low approval ratings, Senator McCain didn’t even have the class to say, 'I would be proud to have this President’s support…'

Instead John McCain, who believes Hillary would make a good President, mumbled something about a busy schedule and a potential in fundraising.

The entire episode was simply disconcerting.

The awkward display was not surprising, coming from a Senator who lied about his reasons for voting against tax cuts.

“I just thought it was too tilted to the wealthy, and I still do…” - John McCain, Nov. 26, 2005

Senator McCain is truly uninspiring...
"McQueeg has a clear runway and still can’t carry the ball. What he should have said is that since Kerry is a Senator and McQueeg is a Senator we have met MANY times, so? Then if asked about being Kerry’s running mate he should have told the reporter, I guess Kerry came to me looking for a few good men. He should have done it with humor and a pleasant temperament and turned it back on the NYT. But he can’t do it since he knows he really doesn’t belong where he is. McQueeg should be having the time of his life now, like Reagan did when HE campaigned for POTUS but he’s going to make it a struggle. What a shame!" - Lipstick on a PIAPS

MCQUEEG?
"Confronted with his lie on Wednesday night’s debate, McCain blustered and filibustered in a manner reminiscent of Captain Queeg in The Caine Mutiny, when he was caught in a lie during a navy inquiry..."

* UPDATE:
NOT POLITICAL Senator McCain?
The transatlantic fund-raiser, to be held March 20 at the home built by the first Earl Spencer, an ancestor of Diana, the late Princess of Wales, comes at the end of a foreign trip that Mr. McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, has repeatedly said is not political.

Mr. McCain is to travel to London, Paris and the Middle East next week with Senator Lindsey Graham, the South Carolina Republican, and Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, the Connecticut independent.

“I do want to emphasize again that the three of us are going as members of the Armed Services Committee,’’ Mr. McCain told reporters on his campaign bus in Philadelphia on Friday. “And we will emphasize that at every stop.’’

Lindsey must be thrilled!

Isn't it rather 'Clintonian' to try to call a political trip, with lavish fundraising events, NOT a political trip?

But that is why, Senator McCain is The Regretful Nominee.

Will Mr. McCain be visiting anyone from Europe's Airbus Consortium?

The mighty Gateway Pundit...
"Top McCain Advisers Lobbied For Airbus...
Contract Was Altered Last Year"

'Senator John McCain has some serious explaining to do.'

- Top McCain advisers lobbied for the Airbus tanker contract.
- Airbus was not even in the running in the beginning.
- Airbus was thinking of scrapping their bid for the DOD tanker contract because they did not see themselves meeting the capability metrics.
- The original contract was altered last year to favor the larger Airbus tankers over the Boeing planes.
- The contract was awarded to Airbus over America's Boeing Company.

We know the aged Keating 5 Member has only one memorable accomplishment in Washington, limiting Free Speech with Campaign Finance Reform, but it also seems John McCain can be easily bought and paid for...

Remember this one?
'Meet Jerry Perenchio. He’s a National Finance Co-Chair of the McCain 2008 campaign and the billionaire founder of Spanish-language media conglomerate, Univision. He also heads up a charitable foundation that has showered gobs of money on extremist green lobbying groups. Take open-borders zeal, add campaign finance hypocrisy, mix with eco-radicalism, and presto...'

Many seem to be tossing their credibility RIGHT out the window, circling the wagon for the bitter Beltway Insider.

But it still seems mindless.

A real disaster...

THE TWILIGHT ZONE

You are about to enter another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land of imagination.

Next stop, the Twilight Zone!

It is as if we have entered a different Universe these days...

The Primaries for the US Presidency, have destroyed many forms of reason, logic, and conventional wisdom.

All weary eyes turn to the dimensions of Ohio and Texas...

The Political Race has become a surreal chapter, from the very worst efforts in the realm of Science Fiction.

It is hard, NOT to find a desperate Conservative Pundit, who has peddled some hope for the 'comeback' of Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham.

Unbelievable?
Far from it.
It is the new political surreality...

Many from the Right, are actually hoping to keep the unethical Hillary Clinton politically viable, conceiving schemes of political sabotage.

Like watching a fantastic moral play from the hair raising tales of Mr. Steiger, we see the rush to play with FIRE, creating concerning premonitions of the schemers getting burned.

Why?

Perhaps cosmic insecurity about the General Election, has produced a very new alternate Universe.

Are fears over this newcomer, a Senator named Obama, making some very strange bed fellows?

For instance, although the Clintons ignored the dangers of Radical Islamic Militancy for nearly a decade, even after the first attack on the WTC in 1993, some Republican Partisans are strangely suggesting Ms. Rodham has some credibility in areas of National Defense.

Hard to believe?
The demented seems common today...

With reality turned upside down, it is no surprise to see the GOP stuck with an aged Senator of 24 Years, whose true identity matches the Democrat Opposition.

One need only turn to the same Liberal Loyalists who endorsed the bitter Keating 5 Member, to glimpse the alarming irony of the BIZARRO Apparition.

Submitted for your perusal:
'In May 2001, Mr. McCain was one of only two Republicans — the other was Senator Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island — to vote against President Bush’s $1.35 trillion 10-year tax cut. On the Senate floor, Mr. McCain said, “I cannot in good conscience support a tax cut in which so many of the benefits go to the most fortunate among us, at the expense of middle-class Americans who most need tax relief.”

Two years later, Mr. McCain was one of three Republicans to vote against additional Bush tax cuts — he and Mr. Chafee were joined by Senator Olympia J. Snowe of Maine — because, he said then, the costs of the Iraq war were not yet known. Specifically, he said he was open to the idea of tax cuts in the future, “but not until Congress and the administration have a better understanding of the costs of war and peace.”

Later, he said he also opposed the 2003 tax cut because it, too, disproportionately benefited the rich. “I just thought it was too tilted to the wealthy, and I still do,” Mr. McCain told Stephen Moore, a member of The Wall Street Journal editorial board, in an interview published on Nov. 26, 2005.'

Feels like the entire Universe has been swallowed by a massive Black Hole, twisting the very fabric of Our own existence.

And the wild ride of this phantasm is far from over...

As the mythical realm of the 'Fair and Balanced' says:
"And if the conservatives don't want a President Obama or a President Clinton, they ought to get off McCain's back and let him campaign as whatever he wants to, and campaign from the center." - Brit Hume

DRAFT THE GENERAL

Petraeus for President?

Let's get the Man who is the REAL AUTHOR of the SURGE to be Commander and Chief in the GWOT!

Can we give this HERO the Nomination?
General David Howell Petraeus

"USA (born November 7, 1952 in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York) is the current Commanding General, Multi-National Force - Iraq (MNF-I). This special four-star post oversees all U.S. forces in the country. He was confirmed to that position by the Senate in a vote of 81–0 on January 26, 2007...

Petraeus was the General George C. Marshall Award winner as the top graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College—class of 1983. He subsequently earned a Master of Public Administration (1985) and a Ph.D. (1987) in International Relations from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He later served as Assistant Professor of International Relations at the U.S. Military Academy, and also completed a fellowship at Georgetown University. He has a BS from the U.S. Military Academy—class of 1974.

Time named Petraeus 33rd out of the 100 most influential leaders and revolutionaries of 2007. He was also named the second most influential American Conservative by The Daily Telegraph and "America's most respected soldier" by Der Spiegel in 2008."

Liberals are already concerned with the idea...
"General David Petraeus has a sterling reputation, the love of the press, and the adoration of the GOP. Don't be surprised if a Democratic presidential win in '08 starts an effort to recruit Petraeus as the Republican candidate in '12."

Why keep the LEFT waiting another four years?

Did you see this one?
"Like Ike: Petraeus for President?"

Don't miss the always amusing TP:
'The right wing is rooting for Petraeus to take the plunge. On Sept. 6, The New York Sun wrote an editorial titled “Petraeus for President?” The Corner’s Kathryn Jean Lopez approvingly linked to the editorial this morning, titling her post “Dream Sequence.” Last spring, The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol told the Harvard Republican Club that he and other “conservative insider[s]” believe “a ticket of Fred Thompson and David Petraeus might be able to avert electoral disaster for the GOP” in 2008.'

SAVVY HAWK ?

Many seem to believe Senator John McCain is a natural to lead the fight in the GWOT.

Sadly, the image doesn't match the reality.

The Senator of 24 years, ironically opposes pouring water over the faces of terrorists, to gather essential information to save American Lives.

Remember, John McCain's view of the Gulf War?

(HINT: He was wrong):
'His position on that war was not the reflexive interventionism we have come to expect from him but a more thoughtful approach, as cited in the New York Times of Aug. 19, 1990: “If you get involved in a major ground war in the Saudi desert, I think support will erode significantly. Nor should it be supported. We cannot even contemplate, in my view, trading American blood for Iraqi blood.”
McCain preferred to use air power to keep Saddam Hussein out of Saudi Arabia, rather than introducing ground troops, and opposed the call that went out from the more militant neoconservatives that U.S. troops, having freed Kuwait from Saddam’s clutches, should push on to Baghdad.
What changed his foreign-policy purview, however, was the Kosovo War. Again he played the maverick role for all it was worth, taking up the cudgels against many in his own party. But this time, he was on the side of intervention.
Monday, April 5, 1999, was a busy day for McCain: Larry King, Charlie Rose, Catherine Crier, two appearances on MSNBC, another two on CNBC, capped by an interview on ABC’s “Nightline.” The next morning, he was up early for Don Imus. “We’ve turned down far more than we’ve accepted,” McCain enthused. It was “all McCain, all the time,” as one Republican strategist put it to the Washington Post, and it sure wasn’t hurting his presidential campaign.
“When I urged the president of the United States not to rule out the option of ground forces, then I also assumed responsibility for what may be the loss of young Americans’ lives,” averred McCain. “I don’t know how it affects my campaign. But I’ve basically put my campaign on hold to some degree.”
This was disingenuous, at best...'

PS: The Keating 5 Member was also misguided about Kosovo:
'We were, he warned, in danger of “losing” to the Serbian army—with its outdated equipment and complete lack of an air force—if we failed to launch air strikes that were “massive, strategic and sustained.” Furthermore, “no infrastructure targets should have been off limits”—factories, water plants, hospitals, schools, markets, whatever. Yes, “we all grieve over civilian casualties as well as our own losses,” but “they are unavoidable.”
But all of this was eminently avoidable, as critics of the war—including many of McCain’s fellow Republicans in Congress—pointed out at the time. The war itself was unnecessary. The U.S. was never threatened by the Serbs, and the trumped-up charge of “genocide” was egregious overstatement. Aside from that, the conflict lasted little more than 11 weeks, and, contra McCain, the U.S. was never in danger of losing. A “massive” bombing campaign would have accomplished little aside from inflicting untold suffering on innocent civilians and incurring the everlasting enmity of the Serbian people—and of decent people everywhere.'

Senators lack vision and often fail to address problems.

For example, John McCain never led the effort to focus on Radical Islamic Terrorism prior to 9-11...

For 3 Decades in Washington, he didn't lead a movement to reform 'PORK' either.

However, they can make some very amusing critics.

If you remain critical of others all the time, hoping for some attention, you are bound to be somewhat accurate at some point, following popular fashion.

McCAIN LIES AGAIN

John McCain lied again in last night's debate:
"McCain not only persisted in his dishonest claim that Mitt Romney supported a timetable for withdrawing from Iraq, he used one evasion after another to try to make it stick."

There was absolutely no need for John McCain to continue the Clintonian Fraud last evening.

It was even more embarrassing seeing this disgrace happening at the Reagan Library.

Mr. Romney accurately stated, Ronald Reagan would have considered this "Reprehensible".

John McCain sealed the deal with my opposition to him, with this Slick Willy Smear of an opponent in Florida.

Senator McCain reminded everyone again, he is mentally unstable, deeply insecure, and far too bitterly jaded for the Nomination.

Seeing John McCain's snide demeaning, juvenile belittling, of an ethical American Success from the Free Market has been regretful.

Sadly, this is a Senator of 24 years whose only real accomplishment is limiting political speech with a disastrous Campaign Finance Reform.

The old Keating 5 Member opposes Waterboarding - Gitmo, votes against Tax Cuts using class warfare rhetoric, has demeaned Sec. Rumsfeld repeatedly for personal political gain, and answers questions about serious economic challenges with references of Senate Associates.

Soon, TWO very tired, aged, misguided Senators with little accomplishment, employing vivid deceit, having an overt liberal embrace, pushing global warming populism, endorsed by the NY Times, will be seeking the most important Office we have in Our Nation.

Two celebrity Washington Insiders of Mr. McCain's self described "failure".

Each are embarrassing Beltway Symbols, with no serious CEO Experience.

Both have unethical Skeletons hiding in the closet, including the Keating 5, Whitewater, TravelGate, etc...

Two Egotists favored by the MSM !

Neither are optimistic...

John McCain repeatedly stated we need to embrace failure, to be straight!

These 2 Senators are NOT positive, pleasant, charming, or even funny...

The polls suggest Americans are not happy with those in the Capital, yet they (led by many misguided efforts) are encouraging the same dysfunctional incompetence.

I believe in personal responsibility, and it seems we are destined to get what we deserve.

Senator McCain ?

Who said we "wasted" Our Bravest's Lives on late night television?

Senator Clinton ?

An infamous LIAR who wants to take things away from Americans?

What a fine comedy of errors...
